Band Banquet is Tuesday, May 19.  It will be held here at HTHS and there will be a catered meal included in the price of the ticket.  Awards will be given out that night and the year end band video will be shown.  Please come enjoy a night to celebrate the band!  Tickets are on sale now!  Your child should have tickets.  Please return all tickets and money by Friday, May 15.

Music Rehearsal Nights
Each member must attend at least 3 Music Rehearsal Nights.  These rehearsals will be held in the high school band room from 6-9 p.m. on the following nights:
July 7, July 9, July 14, and July 16.

*All practice times during Music Band Camp and Marching Band Camp are required for all members.

*Music Band Camp
When: July 20- 24
Where: HTHS
Times: 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
All practices are required!

*Marching Band Camp
When: **July 27-31 and August 3-6 (two weeks)
Where: HTHS
Times: **July 27-31… 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
August 3-6…5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Stadium (times are subject to change)

**Students can choose to bring a lunch or purchase a lunch from the band boosters for an average cost of $7.00.  Students will not be allowed to leave campus for lunch. Menu TBA

Additional Practices
August 7…3-6 p.m.
August 10…3-6 p.m.
August 11…No practice (Get ready for first day of school!)
August 12…First day of school…***Normal after school rehearsal 3:15-5:30.

***After school rehearsals will be held Monday-Friday from 3:30 until 5:30. When football games begin practices will be held Monday-Thursday from 3:30 until 5:30.

***Please note that when school starts the Husky Band will practice each day after school until 5:30 p.m.    All rehearsals are required!!  If a student is not in school the day they miss a rehearsal, they must bring an excuse to the band director.  If there are unforeseen circumstances a written notification from the parent or doctor must be given to the band director upon the return of the student.  Anyone missing any rehearsal unexcused will be benched for a performance resulting in lowering of the band grade! Anyone missing a Thursday rehearsal for any reason excused or unexcused will be benched for a performance!  Bottom line:  COMMUNICATION ABOUT ATTENDANCE IS CRUCIAL TO OUR SUCCESS!  WE NEED ALL BAND MEMBERS AT ALL REHEARSALS TO BE THE BEST BAND WE CAN BE!
