• Boston Butt sale to commence in March.  Will be delivered before Spring break.
• Golf Tournament postponed until fall.
• Costa’s spaghetti dinner sometime in April or May.

• Coke finally picked up left over products and gave refund even on expired products.
• Need to replace fountains.
• Need new grills.

Directors’ Report

Mike Homes, Middle School Director

• Good Pre-District Concert
• Three Middle School Band students made District Honor Band.  They will perform in a concert at Hoover on February 29th.  These students will be recognized at the March School Board meeting.
• District is Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at Vestavia with Concert band performing at 2:20 and Symphonic band performing at 3:30.
• Middle School Spring trip will be the first weekend in May -- May 3rd and 4th  to Atlanta.  May attend Medieval Dinner Show and visit Coke Museum and then Six Flags all day Sunday.  Cost will be around $160.00.
• Solo and Ensemble will be May 10th at Thompson Middle School.

Stephanie Ezell, H.S. Concert Band Director and Auxiliary Coordinator

• Concert Band District is Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Homewood High School
• Colorguard Clinic begins Friday, February 15, 2008 and will continue on Tuesday through Friday, February 19 through February 22, with tryouts on Saturday, February 23, 2008.
• If child makes Colorguard, there will be a $250.00 camp fee due on February 23, 2008.
• Highstepper Clinic is February 25 through February 29, with tryouts on Saturday, March 1, 2008.
• Basketball season is almost over.  Highsteppers and Pep Band have performed at at least two games a week the whole season and it was much appreciated by the Administration.

Scott Waid, H.S. Marching Band and Symphonic Band Director

• Symphonic Band District is Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at 11:15 a.m. at Homewood High School
• Indoor Drumline competitions have begun, they are currently No. 3 in their Division.  Next Competition is March 1, 2008 at Hoover.
• Had six high school students make District Honor Band
• Jazz Night will be Tuesday, April 8, 2008 with dinner beginning at 6:00 p.m. and concert at 7:00.  It will be held at Clearbranch Methodist Church in Argo.  The Jazz Band and the Indoor Percussion Ensemble will perform.  Tickets will be $15.00 and should go on sale soon.
• Spring Trip third payment is due Friday, February 15, 2008.  Could still use more chaperones.  The total cost of the trip is $715.00.
