Subject: Band Assessment

I have good news to share.  The Concert and Symphonic Bands participated in the Alabama Bandmasters Association District IV band assessment today.

The Concert Band participated in the “Comment and Critique Only” category and received all A’s and B’s in each caption and received favorable comments from each of the three adjudicators.

The Symphonic Band participated in the “Comment and Rating” category and received all A’s and B’s and also received favorable comments from each of the three adjudicators.  They also received “Straight Ones” on their rating, which is the best rating possible.

I am proud of all of these students and their hard work.  I would like to thank the high school band directors for their contribution to the success of the middle school band program.  I would also like to thank our band parents, faculty, staff, administrators, superintendent and board of education members for their support as well.

The students represented our school and community with pride and class!  And we got to go to the mall and eat on the way home.
